​SHEEPCOMMITTEE MEMBERS: Jamie Fraser, Fran Bent

NO ENTRY FEES FOR ALL SHEEP EVENTS. Participants are required to pay the exhibition entry fee in lieu of the class entry fee.
PRIZE FOR ALL CLASSES VIA DONATION. Classes are open to all producers and 4-H members.
Class List:
1. Junior Showmanship – Open to participants 18 years of age and under.
2. Senior Showmanship – Open to participants 19 years of age and older.
3. Champion Showmanship – The 1st & 2nd place show people from the Jr & Sr showmanship classes will compete for the placement of Champion Showperson.
4.  Market Lamb – 1st pair of temporary incisors must be in place. Animals are to be sheared and clipped and can be of either sex.
5. Ram Lamb Conformation – 1st pair of temporary incisors must be in place.
6. Single Yearling Ram Conformation – 3rd pair of temporary incisors must be in place.
7. Mature Ram Conformation – Ram must be 2 years of age or older.
8. Champion Ram Class – 1st & 2nd place rams from the Ram lamb, Yearling lamb, and Mature Ram classes will compete for the placement of Champion Ram.
9. Ewe Lamb Conformation – 1st pair of temporary incisors must be in place. Lambs are to be shown individually; they may be taken from a pen of three or be brough separately.  
10. Single Yearling Ewe Conformation – 3rd pair of temporary incisors must be in place. Lambs are to be shown individually; they may be taken from a pen of three or be brough separately.   
11. Mature Ewe Conformation – Ewe must be 2 years or older.
12. Champion Ewe Class – 1st & 2nd place ewe from the Ewe Lamb, Yearling Ewe,  and Mature Ewe classes will compete for the placement of Champion Ewe.
13. Wool Breed Conformation – In this class, the quality of the wool and uniformity of the fiber within the fleece of the sheep are judged.
14. Pen of three replacement ewe lambs – 1st pair of temporary incisors must be in place.
15. Pen of three yearling ewes – 3rd pair of temporary incisors must be in place.
16. Dress a lamb – Participants will be 13 years of age and younger. Participants will dress their lambs in costumes to present in class. The participant may also choose to dress in costume.
Sheep need to be on the grounds and in their pens by noon on show day.
Classes will begin at 3pm and conclude approximately at 4:30pm.
A potluck supper will take place for participants, show donors, and Northumberland Sheep Producers Association Members following the classes and awards presentations.
